Clinician in Neurology
Marco was born and raised on the lake of Garda (Italy) surrounded by large family and many animals. He attended Milan University, and after completing an internship at the Ecole Veterinary de Maison Alfort, France, he earned his degree in veterinary medicine in 2008. After reaming one year at the same university working in the general pathology department, Marco moved to a referral clinic in Rome where he developed a special interest in neurology. In 2010 Marco went to Spain, where he remained for 3 years, working exclusively in neurology. He moved then to a large clinic in London where he worked for almost 2 years as the person in charge of the MRI unit. In 2015 Marco decided to focus his attention on research, so he moved to Finland where he was part of a group studying neurogenesis. In May 2016 he started his 3 year residency in Neurology, at the Koret Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
His main interests include neuroradiology and neurosurgery, although he enjoys all aspects of neurology.
With his wife Omer, we have a large "family", with 2 dogs, 2 birds, 2 hamsters and a bearded dragon!
Marco's hobbies are going for long walks with his 2 dogs, playing football with friends and reading books.
